Colden Common Preschool Playgroup

Booking Secretary: Amanda Pinney 01962 712477

Meets at Community Centre Monday to Friday 9.00 - 12.00 noon.

For Children aged 2 years 6 months to school age.

Our playgroup has been operating since 1974 and we aim to provide a happy and playful environment for our children so they can develop the necessary social, creative and academic skills required of them by the time they start school. Our aim is to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment, to work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.

We offer your child a specially tailored curriculum to approved learning outcomes. Individual care and attention are made possible by a high ratio of adults to children. Fun and friendship with children and other adults. The support of a personal keyworker. Opportunities for you and your family to be directly involved in the activities of the group and in your own child's progress.

We have excellent indoor facilities as well as our own fully enclosed private garden for outdoor fun and activities. We have P.E. sessions and have close links with Colden Common Primary School and use the school's music room on the first Wednesday of each month.

Holy Trinity Toddler Group

Jo Anderson 01962 712281

Meets in the Church Rooms, Main Road (opposite the Holy Trinity Church) every Wednesday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm (except the 3rd Wed of each month when we meet at 12.00 to 1.30pm). Plenty of parking available.

We are a local toddler group who meet up every week for a chat, coffee and of course socialising for the little ones. Anyone is very welcome to just turn up and join us from “bumps” to pre-schoolers.

We generally start with lunch for anyone who wishes to bring a packed lunch, then playtime, a craft activity (such as rainmakers, spaghetti pictures, book marks, even a Teddy Bears picnic at the end of the year), some singing and a short prayer from Rev. Millar to finish.

The first session is free (normally £1.00 per family) so come along and have some fun.

Zippity Zoo
Joyce or Debbie 01962 715772

Meets Community Centre Mon: 10.30 - 11.15  Fri : 9.15 - 10.00

Zippity Zoo is a musical workshop with a teaching concept for children aged 18 months to school age. Zippity Zoo features original characters, stories and songs. Zippity Zoo is a brand new concept in children's entertainment and education. This is a fun workshop designed by mothers with young children for other young children. We know how important it is to entertain your child as well as give them valuable learning lessons. Zippity Zoo was formed in 2005 by Debbie and Joyce after realising that there was nothing like this available. Their idea was to form a musical group with a difference, where each week the children learn a different concept or idea, but most of all have fun! All the stories, songs and characters are original

Zippity Zoo is currently available also at Fair Oak and Chandlers Ford.
